State police in Fulton arrested a 24-year-old Phoenix man on felony charges after an investigation into injuries sustained by a 5-month-old.
The investigation began after police were called to Upstate Golisano Children’s Hospital after they discovered injuries inconsistent with the explanation given by parents.
As the investigation unfolded Joseph McIntyre, 24, was arrested for second-degree assault, a felony; second-degree strangulation, a felony; and endangering the welfare of a child.
According to a news release, the 24-year-old caused the child’s injuries.
Police say the infant is listed in stable condition.
McInytre was transported to the Oswego County Jail pending arraignment.
