Rochester duo tried cashing $3,000 in fraudulent checks at Canandaigua bank

Police arrested a pari of Rochester residents following an investigation into fraudulent checks at the Community Bank branch in Canandaigua.

Zacordae Arnold, 22, and Josiah Porchea, 22, were both charged with attempted grand larceny.


The charges stem from an incident on February 24th when police say the two attempted to cash a fraudulent checks worth $1,310 and $1,750.

They tried to cash them at the Community Bank branch on South Main Street, police said.

Both were processed without incident and released on an appearance ticket.
