Deputies report the arrest of a Sodus man, who faces an array of felony charges in Schuyler County following a roadside investigation.
Manolo Lopez De Leon, a 32-year-old resident of Sodus, was arrested on February 7th in the Town of Dix following a routine traffic stop. He was charged with six counts of criminal possession of a forged instrument in the second degree, a class D felony, as well as several vehicle and traffic law offenses.
According to law enforcement officials, Mr. Lopez De Leon was pulled over by officers after they observed him operating a motor vehicle that was unregistered and had switched license plates. Further investigation revealed that he had fraudulent plates and registration documents from the State of Texas.
The charges against Mr. Lopez De Leon allege that he was in possession of forged instruments with the intent to defraud. He was arraigned in Schuyler County CAP Court and released to reappear in the Town of Dix Court at a later date.
