The home woes continue for the Buffalo Sabres as they fall to the Edmonton Oilers, 3-2, on Monday night at KeyBank Center. With the loss, Buffalo drops to 32-26-4 (68 points) on the season.
Buffalo trailed 2-1 after 40 minutes but tied it up early in the third period before Edmonton quickly regained the lead and held on. The story of the game was missed opportunities. The Sabres recorded 39 shots on goal but could only beat Oilers goaltender Stuart Skinner twice.
Jeff Skinner and Dylan Cozens netted goals for Buffalo. Tage Thompson notched his 83rd point of the season with an assist. Jordan Greenway made his Sabres debut and played 12 minutes and seven seconds. Craig Anderson turned aside 34-of-37 shots.

Buffalo went 1-for-2 on the power play and 1-for-1 on the penalty kill.
