Rochester man had BAC twice legal limit, stopped for speeding in Wayne County

Deputies say a Rochester man was arrested for DWI and other offenses after a traffic stop and incident at a busy intersection along State Route 104 in Ontario.

Gino Picciocca, 27, was charged with speeding, DWI, and driving with a BAC over 0.08%.

The charges stem from an investigation into a traffic stop at the intersection of Route 104 and Furnace Road where he was operating his vehicle westbound at a high rate of speed.

He was observed by deputies, then stopped, before being asked to participate in field sobriety tests.

Picciocca agreed, then failed those tests. He was found to have a BAC twice the legal limit, coming in at 0.16%.

He was released on appearance tickets and will answer the charges at a later date in local court.
