Multiple departments called to structure fire at Seneca Meadows Landfill

First responders from several local departments were called to a structure fire at the Seneca Meadows Landfill late-Saturday.

Firefighters from Seneca Falls, Waterloo, Border City, Canoga, Junius, Fayette, and Geneva responded to the scene.

North Seneca Ambulance was also called to the scene.

Smoke was visible from the fire a moderate distance away from the landfill.

The fire initially came in as a possible building fire, according to our partners at the Cayuga-Seneca Fire Wire. Shortly thereafter, the first crews on-scene confirmed an involved structure fire.

No injuries had been reported as of Sunday morning.

This is a developing story. Check back for updates as they’re made available.
