The Syracuse Orange men’s basketball team (17-14, 10-10) snapped a four-game skid on Saturday night with a 72-63 victory over the Wake Forest Demon Deacons (18-13, 10-10) in the regular-season finale at the JMA Wireless Dome.
Syracuse was pretty much in control from the opening tipoff as they trailed just once in the contest. They led by 10 at halftime and rolled from there behind Jesse Edwards’ 13th double-double of the season. The senior scored a game-high 27 points and notched 20 rebounds, recording the first 20-plus point and rebound game since 2009. Judah Mintz netted 17 points and Joe Giard poured in 16.
