Sabres trade forward Rasmus Asplund to Predators

The Buffalo Sabres have traded veteran forward Rasmus Asplund to the Nashville Predators in exchange for a 2025 seventh-round pick, the teams announced Friday afternoon.

Asplund, 25, had two goals and six assists in 27 games with Buffalo this season. However, he was the odd man out and was a healthy scratch for almost half the season.

The Sabres drafted Asplund in the 2016 NHL Draft. He tallied 18 goals in 31 assists in 164 games.
