The Buffalo Sabres made their second trade of the week on Wednesday night.
Buffalo sent goaltender Erik Portillo to the Los Angeles Kings in exchange for a 2023 third-round draft pick.
Portillo, 22, was drafted by the Sabres in the third round of the 2019 NHL Draft and has yet to make his debut.
Buffalo now owns nine draft picks in 2023: one in each of the first, third, fourth, fifth, sixth, and seventh rounds and three in the second round.
