For the fifth time this season, Syracuse guard Judah Mintz was named the Atlantic Coast Conference Rookie of the Week, the league announced Monday.
Mintz averaged a team-best 19.5 points per game, 3.5 assists, and 3.0 rebounds over two games last week. He shot 14-for-24 (58.3%) from the field and 5-for-6 (83.3%) from the three-point line.
Mintz is now tied with Tyler Ennis (five times, 2013-14) for the most Freshman of the Week honors during the program’s tenure in the ACC.
Syracuse, who has dropped three straight games by 17 or more points for the first time since the 1961-62 season, will try to get back in the win column on Tuesday night when they host Georgia Tech at 7 p.m.
