The Buffalo Sabres (30-23-4, 64 points) have moved into a playoff spot with a 3-1 road victory over the Florida Panthers (29-26-6, 64 points) on Friday night.
Buffalo opened the scoring in the second period and never looked back as they held on in the final period for their second win in as many nights behind a 53-save effort from 41-year-old Craig Anderson.
