New York State Police are continuing to investigate a pedestrian struck by a motorist on State Route 104 on February 17th which resulted in the death of Megan Tuck, a 37-year-old resident of Rochester.
The incident occurred around 2:10 a.m. in the eastbound lanes near the Culver Road exit, where the pedestrian was walking in the center lane and was struck by a pickup truck. The truck was then hit from behind by a second motorist who was also traveling eastbound.
The victim was transported to Strong Hospital with serious injuries and later died as a result. Troopers report that both operators of the vehicles showed no signs of intoxication or impairment, and neither operator was injured in the incident.
The State Police have not released further details about the incident or the identity of the motorists involved. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities encourage anyone with information related to the incident to come forward.
