CONCRETE JUNGLE: Reporting for Duty (podcast)

Baseball is right around the corner as pitchers and catchers have officially reported to camps in Arizona and Florida. Paul Russo and Kyle Evans have all the latest and more in Concrete Jungle. The Yankees’ camp has been rocky so far as Frankie Montas now appears to be out longer than expected. The guys discuss the main problem this presents the team with the off-season already over. They also take a look at Aaron Judge taking reps at first base and health updates on three key players.

The Mets have started their camp on a better tone. Paul and Kyle look at comments made by Pete Alonso regarding his contract situation and what weight that may have as spring training fully ramps up. Buck Showalter came to the defense of rookies stating his opposition to rookie hazing. The guys talk about how a figure like Showalter may make a difference in curbing hazing in baseball and sports.

With big league camps underway, Rochester and Syracuse are solidifying their staff. Both the Red Wings and Mets have announced their full coaching staff for the year. Paul and Kyle look at the staffs and what they mean for the young players and guys trying to get back to the big leagues.
