The village of Moravia has been named the inaugural winner of a grant aimed at helping the smallest communities in New York.
The village will receive $2.5 million through the NY Forward program, according to the Citizen, who reported the story on Tuesday.
Three communities in Central New York won through this round of funding.
There were a total of $6.5 million in projects submitted in the fall for this funding. More than half of them were to renovate or restore downtown buildings.
