Firefighters in Clyde were called to the town of Rose for a structure fire around 10 a.m. on Monday.
The call came in to Rose firefighters as a chimney fire. However, first units arriving on-scene found fire had spread throughout the roof of the home.
Clyde firefighters said the flames spread rapidly throughout the home and there was extensive damage.
Clyde, North Rose, Alton, Wallington, Wolcott, and Rose fire departments responded to the scene. Eastern Wayne EMS, Wayne County ALS, and Finger Lakes Ambulance also responded.
