Corning man faces drug charges after Walmart incident

Authorities from the State Police in Painted Post responded to a report of a suspicious person at Walmart on February 11th.

The suspicious individual was identified as Brodie L. Pierson, a 25-year-old resident of Corning. While a Steuben County Sheriff’s Deputy located Pierson, state police were informed that he had unrelated pending charges involving them.


Upon taking Pierson into custody, the troopers discovered a controlled substance in his possession. Subsequently, Pierson was arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Pierson was taken to the SP Painted Post for processing before being transported to the Steuben County Jail for arraignment. The incident is currently under investigation by the State Police in Painted Post.
