Routine traffic stop leads to drug charges for Troupsburg resident

A routine traffic stop on State Route 417 in the town of Tuscarora led to the arrest of a Troupsburg resident on drug charges.

According to the State Police in Painted Post, Troopers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for various traffic violations on February 9th.


During the stop, they arrested the driver, 25-year-old Haley L. Heigel of Troupsburg, for several traffic violations and criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Heigel was transported to the State Police barracks in Painted Post for processing and was issued an appearance ticket to appear in the Town of Tuscarora Court on February 27th at 6:30 p.m.
