The 2023 World Baseball Classic rosters were announced Thursday night, and the New York Mets have over a dozen players participating.
Four players will suit up for Team USA: First baseman Pete Alonso, second baseman Jeff McNeil, and relievers Brooks Raley and Adam Ottavino.
Three players will play for Team Puerto Rico: Shortstop Francisco Lindor, reliever Edwin Díaz, and pitching prospect Dominic Hamel.
Three players will represent Team Venezuela: Third baseman Eduardo Escobar, catcher Omar Narvaez, and right-hander Elieser Hernandez.
Starting pitcher Jose Quintana will play for Team Colombia.
Other Mets participating include left-hander Camrin Opp for Team Great Britain, reliever Claudio Scott for Team Italy, and reliever Humberto Mejia and second baseman Jonathan Arauz for Team Panama.
The 2023 World Baseball Classic begins on March 8.
