Penn Yan woman attacks person with frying pan, then threatens them from jail if charges aren’t dropped

The Penn Yan Police Department reports the arrest of a village resident following an investigation into a domestic incident.

Samantha Sprague, 28, is accused of attacking an unnamed victim with a frying pan. She’s also accused of punching them during the incident.

After being taken into custody, she was allowed a phone call. Police say she used it to call the victim and threaten them if they did not drop the charges.

Sprague was charged with intimidating a victim, menacing, and two counts of harassment.

The charges will be answered at a later date in local court.
