Rochester Red Wings announce coaching staff for 2023

The Rochester Red Wings announced their coaching staff for the 2023 season on Wednesday.

Matthew LeCroy will return for a third season to manage the Red Wings. LeCroy, with over 700 career MiLB managerial wins, managed the Red Wings to a 67-81 record in 2022 while utilizing a franchise record of 81 different players.


LeCroy’s full staff:

Brian Daubach – Hitting Coach (third season)

Rafael Chaves – Pitching Coach (second season)

Billy McMillon – Development Coach (second season)

Daniel Minter – Performance Analyst (second season)

Eric Montague – Athletic Trainer (third Season)

Mike Warren – Strength & Conditioning (third season)

Rafael Chaves returns as the club’s Pitching Coach, while Billy McMillon will again serve as the Development Coach, both of whom will be in their second seasons with the Red Wings. Hitting Coach Brian Daubach, Athletic Trainer Eric Montague, and Strength and Conditioning Coach Mike Warren all return to Rochester for their third year. Daniel Minter rounds out the coaching staff and returns to Rochester for his second year, this time in a new capacity as the club’s Performance Analyst, previously serving as the team’s Video Coordinator in 2022.

Rochester opens the 2023 season with a three-game series against Lehigh Valley at home on March 31 at the newly renamed Innovative Field.
