Yates County Deputy Clerk Molly Linehan has announced her candidacy for the county clerk position after current County Clerk Lois Hall announced her retirement.
Linehan, a Republican, has served as deputy clerk under Hall since 2016 and has over eight years of experience working in real estate and the district attorney’s office.
In a statement, Linehan highlighted her valuable experience serving residents and businesses in the county and pledged to continue providing excellent customer service.
Linehan is a resident of Penn Yan and active in local organizations such as the Penn Yan Lions Club and the Yates County chapter of Shooters Committee On Political Education. The county clerk election will take place this year.
