Frustrated NYSEG, RG&E customers can sound off to Public Service Commission this week: Here’s how

This week a pair of public hearings will be held by the Public Service Commission to hear customer complaints about NYSEG and RG&E.

In Rochester, two virtual forums will be held at 1 p.m. and 6 p.m. on Tuesday, January 31st.

Area residents will have the chance to speak in-person on February 7th from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., then again from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Rochester City Hall.

An event will also be taking place in Binghamton on February 8th from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

DPS is looking for comments from residents who have received delayed bills or no bills, information on delayed billing, customer experience when placing calls to the company’s 1-800 line, and any other issues related to billing, credits, delays or inaccuracies.

The deadline to pre-register is 12 p.m. on Monday. It’s required to speak.
