The Syracuse Orange men’s basketball team dropped their second straight game and third in the last four with an 85-70 loss to the Virginia Tech Hokies on Saturday night at Cassell Coliseum. With the loss, Syracuse dropped to (13-9, 6-5).
The Orange fell behind early and trailed by 19 points at halftime after Virginia Tech hit 11 first-half three-pointers and left the Syracuse zone in shambles. Syracuse went on a little run to open the second half and had an opportunity to cut the lead to single digits but could not keep the momentum going.
Three players finished in double figures for the Orange. Judah Mintz led the way with 21 points. Just Taylor knocked down four three-pointers and finished with 12 points, while Maliq Brown poured in 11 points.
