The Buffalo Bills have made their first move of the offseason.
The team fired safeties coach Jim Salgado on Thursday, according to a report from ESPN’s Alaina Getzenberg.
Salgado has been on Sean McDermott’s staff since 2017. He moved to safeties coach in 2022 after serving as the team’s nickels coach for the previous two seasons.
Buffalo allowed 214.6 passing yards per game in 2022, placing them 15th in the NFL. However, the safety position dealt with several injuries. Jordan Poyer, Micah Hyde, and Damar Hamlin all missed extended time.
