On January 25th the Canandaigua Police Department arrested 27-year-old Rodney Matthews Jr., of Canandaigua, New York, and charged him with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree.
According to police, it is alleged that Matthews possessed crack cocaine while in the City of Canandaigua with the intent to sell it.
The Canandaigua Police Department, with the assistance of the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office, executed a search warrant at Matthews’ residence due to ongoing drug sales out of the apartment.
Matthews was arrested and transported to CAP arraignment where he was released and ordered to reappear in Canandaigua City Court at a later date. Further charges against Matthews are pending as the investigation continues.
