Unemployment rates across Upstate New York are historically low.
Here in the Finger Lakes counties have reported some of the lowest jobless numbers of any in the state.
The latest round of data released by the state Department of Labor shows unemployment rates as low as 2.4%.
For the state as a whole, WalletHub reported on Tuesday that the change month-over-month change from November was 0.19%, which ranked 25th in the U.S.
A year-to-year comparison shows an 18.41% reduction in overall unemployment in New York.
However, even with the seemingly good news in this report for New York – the state’s total unemployment rate, 4.3%, was 8th highest in the U.S.

Cayuga: 3%
Chemung: 3.2%
Livingston: 2.9%
Monroe: 2.9%
Onondaga: 2.8%
Ontario: 2.7%
Schuyler: 3.6%
Seneca: 2.8%
Tompkins: 2.4%
Wayne: 2.8%
Yates: 2.9%
