Three smoke shops in Cayuga County have been fined and will have their tobacco licenses suspended for violating state laws regarding the sale of flavored vaping products and selling tobacco products to underage customers.
The county officially handed down fines and license suspensions at a Board of Health meeting on Tuesday, according to The Citizen.
Panda Smoke and Vape in Aurelius was hit with $133,000 in fines and had its license suspended one year. In August, Panda was fined $22,500.
Auburn Express Smoke Shop was fined $2,850 and will have its state tobacco retail license suspended for a year.
Auburn Express Smoke Shop Jr., also located in the city, had its license suspended for three months and was hit with $16,750 in fines.
