Sabres open road trip with OT win over Stars

The Buffalo Sabres’ road trip got off to a great start as they defeated the Dallas Stars, 3-2, in overtime on Monday night at American Airlines Center. With the victory, Buffalo improved to 24-19-3 (51 points) on the season.

Owen Power, who had not scored in the first 45 games, netted the game-winner in overtime on a perfect feed from Tage Thompson.


Rasmus Dahlin scored his 14th goal, setting a new career high. Victor Olofsson also found the back of the net, his 22nd. He has now recorded a goal in four straight contests.
