On January 19th at around 1:30 a.m., state police from Wellsburg conducted a traffic stop on South Walnut Street in the city of Elmira for multiple vehicle and traffic law violations.
During the stop, the trooper detected a strong odor of alcohol coming from the driver, 31-year-old Travis E. Ladd of Pine City.
Ladd failed standardized field sobriety testing and was transported to SP Horseheads where he provided a positive breath sample for blood alcohol content. He was charged with Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated.
Ladd was issued an appearance ticket and released. He is scheduled to appear in the City of Elmira Court on February 24th.
