Seneca Falls man faces felony charge after violating court order

On Wednesday, January 18th police arrested 38-year-old Steven W. Knight of Seneca Falls.

The arrest was made due to a warrant that had been issued for Knight for violating a stay-away order of protection between May 1st, 2022 and July 5th, 2022.


Knight was charged with one count of aggravated family offense and one count of criminal contempt in the second degree. He was then transported to the Seneca County Correctional Facility, where he is awaiting arraignment in the Seneca County Centralized Arraignment Part Court.

According to the police department, Knight’s arrest is a result of an ongoing investigation into the violation of the stay-away order of protection.
