Who will be the next chief of police in the city of Geneva?

That question will be answered in the coming months as the process begins to fill the upcoming vacancy that will be left by retiring chief Mike Passalacqua.

He told the city over the fall that he would retire this year. Passalacqua took over after Jeff Trickler retired.

The advertised salary begins at $100,089 with minimum rank requirements of lieutenant or sergeant for at least six months.

It’s a civil service position. So, the deadline for filing for that is February 17th. The civil service exam will take place in March.
