Ithaca Alderperson Ducson Nguyen is running for Common Council.
The four-year term will be his last, if elected, according to the Ithaca Voice. He shared his announcement with the Voice this week, as the 2023 election calendar gets rolling.
He first started on Common Council in 2016.
As for the reason behind his decision to only serve one more term if elected? It comes down to being able to spend more time with his family and focus on his career.
All 10 of the city’s Common Council seats are up for reelection this year due to new boundaries brought on by redistricting.
