The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of a Sodus man following an investigation at two local businesses.
Mitchell Vancuyck, 39, of Sodus was charged with burglary, two counts of criminal mischief, and petit larceny after an investigation into several break-ins at D&D Smoke Shop and Fat Frankie’s Pizzeria in the village of Sodus.
According to a news release, Vancuyck broke the front door of D&D Smoke Shop, went inside, and stole several items from behind the counter. He then returned in January and broke the door at Fat Frankie’s but did not make entry into the business.
He was taken into custody and arraigned on the charges.
