A Manchester resident was sentenced to nine years in prison for a shooting incident that occurred in 2020 at a Canandaigua apartment complex.

Michael Delgado, 26, pleaded guilty to charges of attempted murder, criminal possession of a weapon, and attempted assault.

The charges stem from two separate incidents, one of which happened in October 2020 at the Lakeside Village Apartments on Jefferson Avenue.

Police officers responded to a large fight in the parking lot and a report of shots fired. Upon arriving at the scene, a large group had already fled, and no one was injured by gunfire.

Delgado and another Manchester resident, Donavan Paddock, were arrested after an investigation that lasted several months.

Delgado admitted to shooting at someone several times with an assault rifle and Paddock was also in possession of the gun.

He pleaded guilty to a felony weapons charge and will be sentenced to six years in prison. The other incident involving Delgado happened in the town of Canandaigua, where he attempted to stab someone.
