On December 26th the Seneca County Sheriff’s Office arrested 32-year-old Nathaniel McLeod of Waterloo on charges of harassment in the second degree, criminal mischief in the fourth degree, and endangering the welfare of a child.
The arrest came as the result of a domestic incident where McLeod allegedly struck a child and damaged property.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, the incident occurred at McLeod’s residence and was reported by a family member. Deputies were dispatched to the scene and took McLeod into custody without incident. He was transported to the Seneca County Jail to await pre-arraignment.
The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office has urged anyone with information about the incident or any other potential incidents of child abuse or neglect to come forward and report it to the appropriate authorities.
