Police say one arrest has been made after a structure fire in the city on January 3rd.
Upon arriving at the scene and conducting an investigation, authorities identified Aaron J. Blume, 36, of Enfield as the suspect in the incident.
Blume is alleged to have entered the building and intentionally set a fire, knowing that multiple people were inside. Fortunately, no one was injured in the incident.
Blume was arrested and charged with arson in the second degree, a felony, and criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree, a misdemeanor. He has since been arraigned in the Ithaca City Court and is being held at the Tompkins County jail on $10,000 bail.
The Ithaca Police Department is urging anyone with knowledge of this incident to come forward and contact them with any information they may have.
