A mobile home was a total loss and several pets died after a fire on Wednesday.
On January 4th at 9:17 a.m., a structure fire was reported in the 5900 block of Franklin Road in Sempronius.
Upon arrival of the first responding units, a working fire was confirmed and a second alarm with tanker support was requested.
Units from Sempronius, New Hope, West Niles, Moravia, Owasco, Locke, Flemming 1, Flemming 2, Genoa, Scipio, Aurelius, and Homer responded to the scene.
The home sustained extensive damage, and several family pets were lost. Three dogs were rescued from the home. The residents are currently staying with family.
Fourtown also responded to the scene. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
