Watertown man threatened mother with a box cutter, then stole money

On New Year’s Day, Miguel A. Harvey was arrested by New York State Police in Watertown on charges of first degree robbery and criminal possession of a weapon in the third degree.

The 23-year-old man from Watertown is accused of threatening his mother with a box cutter and demanding money. After taking the money, Harvey left the residence.

Troopers later located Harvey at a different address in Watertown, where he was taken into custody without incident.

Harvey was arraigned at CAP Court by Judge Dave Morse and is being held without bail due to previous felony convictions.

He is scheduled to appear in court for a preliminary hearing on January 5 at 9:00 A.M. at the town of Watertown Court.
