The Monday Night Football game between the Buffalo Bills and Cincinnati Bengals has been postponed after Bills safety Damar Hamlin collapsed on the field.

Medical personnel administered CPR and attended to him for several minutes as players from both teams gathered around him and were visibly upset. Hamlin was later placed on a stretcher and transported to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center.

The game was stopped with the Bengals leading the Bills, 7-3, with 5:58 left in the first quarter.

The NFL did not say when the game would be made up or resumed.

According to the Buffalo Bills, Damar Hamlin suffered a cardiac arrest following the hit. His heartbeat was restored on the field and he was transferred to the UC Medical Center for further testing and treatment. He is currently sedated and listed in critical condition, the team added.
