A pair of Ontario County residents were injured in a crash in Greene County, according to first responders there.
The crash happened on Wednesday along I-87 around 5:30 p.m. An oversized flatbed tractor-trailer became partially disabled in the right lane. The oversized load’s escort, which was an SUV with emergency lights running, was struck from behind by a minivan.
Randal Tillburg, age 70, of Canandaigua, and Diane Morgan, age 68, of Victor were in the SUV. The force of the crash trapped the SUV between the SUV and guardrail.
Both had to be extricated by firefighters from the wreckage. They were hospitalized with serious injuries.
Chaim Rosenburg, age 34, of Rockland County was the operator of the minivan. The crash remains under investigation at this time, police said.
