Sabres top Bruins in OT for sixth straight win

The Buffalo Sabres picked up their sixth straight win on Saturday afternoon with a 4-3 come-from-behind victory over the Boston Bruins at the TD Garden. With the win, Buffalo improved to 18-14-2 on the season.

Buffalo trailed 3-2 with just under two minutes left in regulation when Dylan Cozens netted the game-tying goal to send the game into overtime. With just over a minute left in the extra period, Alex Tuch scored the game-winning goal, his second of the game.

Tage Thompson also found the back of the net, his team-leading 27th of the season. Jeff Skinner, Rasmus Dahlin, and Ilya Lyubushkin notched assists.


Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen came huge for the Sabres as he turned aside 37-of-40 shots, securing his seventh win of the season.

Buffalo went 0-for-3 on the power play and 4-for-5 on the penalty kill.

The Sabres will try to extend their streak on Sunday when they take on the Ottawa Senators at the Canadian Tire Centre. Puck drop is set for 7 p.m.
