State police say a pursuit that started in the area of Monroe Avenue on I-490 ended in Ontario County.
A total of three people were taken into custody afterward.
On December 28th around 11:20 p.m. state police attempted a traffic stop involving a stolen vehicle on Monroe Avenue.
The operator fled through city streets, onto I-490, and then to the New York State Thruway. He headed east and after entering Ontario County – stop sticks were deployed to flatten the vehicle’s tires and prevent it from operating.
Reginald Johnson, age 57, of Rochester was the operator of the vehicle, and charged with unauthorized use, obstruction, criminal possession, unlawful fleeing, DWAI, and reckless driving.
Norman Sandovol, age 56, also of Rochester, who was a passenger in the vehicle, was charged with unauthorized use and criminal possession of a controlled substance.
Tara Reynolds, age 43, of Lake Placid, another passenger in the vehicle was charged with unauthorized use and criminal possession of a controlled substance.
No injuries were reported. And all three were taken into custody at a nearby parking lot after the vehicle was disabled.
