Police say they are investigating a shooting that left the victim fleeing through a second-story window.
The Ithaca Police Department reports that on Friday, December 30th around 12:20 a.m. officers were dispatched to a shooting in the 100 block of Chestnut Street.
It was reported that a bullet entered their apartment through a window. Officers were able to locate the area where the projectile was fired from and responded to a nearby apartment in the same area.
At this point, there is more than one person of interest, police said in a release. The victim fled the apartment of the shooting through a second story apartment window, as reported by a witness on-scene.
The victim’s health and location is unknown at this time, police added.
IPD said they are searching for three suspects who fled before police arrival.
