Andrew Tate arrested in Romania on human trafficking charges

Andrew Tate, a former kickboxer and social media influencer, was arrested along with his brother in Romania on Thursday.

The arrest was made by Romania’s anti-organized crime unit, which asked for what was supposed to be a one day detention to become a 30 day detention, according to CBS News.

Warrants were issued in several homes relating to suspicions of an organized criminal group involved specifically in human trafficking and rape.

So far six women have been found that were allegedly sexually exploited by the organized crime group formed by four suspects in 2021.

Two Romanian citizens and two British nationals were taken into custody, with British nationals being Andrew Tate and his brother Tristian.
