If you’re an RG&E customer who lost power over the weekend during the winter storm that crushed Western New York there may be a new form of relief available.

People who lost power may be eligible for coverage of spoiled food costs.

RG&E customers who lost power for 72 or more hours are eligible to submit claims for the cost of food and prescription medication that spoiled during it.

Customers will be required to submit an itemized list of all spoiled food and medications within 14 days of the outage.
