Two major healthcare providers merge in Tompkins County

Big changes are coming to healthcare in the Ithaca-Tompkins County area, thanks to a merger planned for early-2023.

The Ithaca Voice reports that Cayuga Health System, Cayuga Medical Associates is joining forces with Family Medicine Associates of Ithaca on February 1st.

The former will absorb the latter as part of the deal. It also ensures that physical locations of Family Medicine Associates will remain the same.

Both sides of the deal expressed excitement about the new entity.
