Sabres win fourth straight, top Golden Knights 3-2

The Buffalo Sabres extended their win streak to four games and swept a three-game road trip with a 3-2 victory over the Vegas Golden Knights on Monday night at T-Mobile Arena. With the win, the Sabres improved to 16-14-2 on the season.

Buffalo built a 3-0 lead in the second period and held on despite being outshot 23-5 in the final period.

Jeff Skinner (16), Tage Thompson (26), and Lawrence Pilut (1) scored for the Sabres. Thompson is just two goals away from tying Edmonton Oilers captain Connor McDavid for the league lead.


Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen turned in his best performance of the season as he stopped 41-of-43 shots, including 21 in the third period.

Buffalo went 0-for-1 on their lone power-play opportunity and a perfect 3-for-3 on the penalty kill.

The Sabres will be back in action on Friday night at KeyBank Center when they host the Tampa Bay Lightning at 7 p.m.
