Savannah resident stole tractor that belonged to Town, scrapped it for money

Deputies say an arrest has been made after an investigation into a stolen tractor in the town of Savannah.

Amanda Williams, age 24, of Savannah was arrested after a warrant was issued out of town court for criminal possession of stolen property and conspiracy.

The charges stem from a complaint of a stolen tractor owned by the town of Savannah, where the tractor was cut apart and taken to the scrap yard for money.

Williams was arraigned and will answer the charges at a later date.
