True Crime Brought To Light is a TikTok account that focuses on various types of true crime and current events, garnering 1.2 million followers.
FingerLakes1.com was able to speak with the creator, Ethan, about the success his account has seen.
“I grew up watching dateline,” Ethan said. “So I had all this useless knowledge as I like to say. One day I was talking about a case and it just kind of blew up.”
Ethan noticed that some cases that deserved the attention weren’t getting it, so he started focusing on those as well. He explained that any publicity is good publicity, especially for cases that were active and in need of answers.
