The Syracuse Crunch (11-9-2-2) scored three unanswered goals to top the Springfield Thunderbirds (10-11-1-4), 4-2, on Friday night at the Upstate Medical University Arena.
Springfield led 2-1 halfway through the second period, but Syracuse tied the game late before scoring two in the final frame to secure the victory.
Shawn Element, Felix Robert, Simon Ryfors, and Gemel Smith scored for the Crunch. Alex Barre-Boulet tallied two assists, while Hugo Alnefelt stopped 17-of-19 shots.
Syracuse failed to capitalize on the power play as they went 0-for-3 while finishing 4-for-5 on the penalty kill.
The Crunch will be back in action on Saturday when they host the Bridgeport Islanders at 7 p.m.
